Cate Riley: New for 2008!

I've decided that we'll try something new for 2008. I think it should be easier to post photos and updates about Cate here in this blog. Wish us LUCK!

Holidays 2007-2008

Cate and Mommy and Daddy had a busy holiday season. We kicked our season off with a visit from Grammy and Grandpa Vaughn at Thanksgiving. We had an excellent time, but that also began the "sick period" in our household. Cate began preschool this fall, and our household has never contracted so many illnesses. Luckily everyone was well again about two weeks before Christmas. We had a much anticipated visit from mommy's best friend Aunt Vicki. It was one busy weekend. We attended two holiday parties, and tried to show Aunt Vic around our town all in the span of three days. We would love to have Aunt Vic move near us, so we promoted and marketed our town to the fullest. Christmas was a big day for Cate this year. She really got into it and was super excited that Santa and his reindeer made the long ride to leave all those goodies at her house. By Christmas time, our extended family (Gran and Uncle Chris) were sick too, so their holiday was a bit subdued. Thankfully, after antibiotics for both, they are on the mend. Two days after Christmas, Grandaddy and Mimi and Uncle Alan Browne came to celebrate Christmas with us. We enjoyed their visit and look forward to visiting them at their home soon. New Years Eve celebrations were really fun for mommy and daddy. Cate got to hang out with Gran, and mommy and daddy participated in their first annual "Smokewood Stumble". We had so much fun at this progressive party hosted by our neighbors that we didn't come home until 3 am on New Year's Day. We have much to look forward to in 2008. February will be especially busy for us. We will try to visit friends in Erie, PA; and then we will come down to Orlando for a visit with Mickey and other assorted family members. The day afer we arrive home from Disney, Mommy and Daddy will become hardcore rockers when they attend a Van Halen concert at our new arena. March will mark the arrival of the newest member of our family. Chris and Ashley are expecting a son, Grayson Christopher around the middle of March. We can't wait!
